UI Pioneers was the better team from start to finish today, beating DELSU Titans, 2-0, to earn its best finish in any HiFL competition.

The pioneers donning the Athletic Club colours scored the first goal less than four minutes into the match, after a well-constructed team goal and never relented, even as the Titans playing like their avatar Barcelona FC toiled and created scoring opportunities of their own. UI Pioneers scored again in the 88^th minute to seal the game, another brilliant goal to ensure their place on the podium.

Indeed, after a competition that promised loads for the flattering to deceive Titans, it is another season of heartbreak as they continued their infamous run of falling apart in the biggest occasions to cap their ultimately fruitless run in the tournament.
